Private vs. Semi-private.

“Which is the best type of lesson for my child?”

Children learn at their own pace.  They are motivated by different stimuli and engage with others in very different ways.  Their interest in music and piano playing may be intense or a passing fancy.  Below are a few suggested guidelines to use in deciding which type of lesson is best for your child.

Private lessons with Miss Monica

2) can student read music (see Lesson Decision Tree)?

Other considerations:

  • Child demonstrates high interest in learning to play the piano.
  • Parent can support at home practice of 4+ days a week.
  • Student might be distracted by another student present.
